‘Winds of Change’ – Hand Woven Wall Hanging
This weave was completed at the end of August 2020, when the Autumn winds were already starting to rustle through the trees outside my studio window. There is something grounding about the changing seasons that connects me to the wonder that is nature. Take a minute to stop and listen!
She was made with those little corner nooks in mind. Made with recycled textile cotton rope, beads from a thrifted bracelet, the metal ring is reclaimed from a broken handbag. I used a fallen branch to mount it.
Measurements: Length: 53cm, branch width: 22cm, width of weave: 10.5cm,
Please note: As in all my weaving’s the macrame cord I use is made from recycled textile cotton rope. The textile used to make this rope comes from both landfill and production waste it has received an Oeko-Tex Certificate Standard 100.
