Head Above Water -Illustration

I am so excited to finally release this beautiful illustration created by the super talented @kerryeugenie 💙 Thank you for bringing my vision to life in such a deep and meaningful way.

If you have struggled with your mental health you will understand that dealing with anxiety, stress, depression or past trauma can be all consuming.

Some days it can be hard to put on a brave face, it can feel like we are on an island, alone, with no one to talk to. Some days it can be hard to get out of bed and somedays we struggle to hold it all together. Somedays we are just trying to keep our head above water.

Talking about our mental health can help make life storms easier to navigate. Talking it out can help us maintain a healthy mindset. There is always someone to reach out to, someone willing to listen. It is ok to ask for help and by doing so doesn’t show a sign of weakness but a sign of strength, strength to overcome what you are going through. Remember that.

Our Head Above Water illustration is the main inspiration behind our upcoming fundraiser in the Curraghgour Boat club. This illustration has become so much more fitting since I started my cold water journey six months ago and as I reflect on my own mental health journey. Having the support of kind and supportive humans around us can act as a lighthouse, a light that helps guide us home.

I have decided to offer 30 limited edition pieces printed in BLUE for our Head Above Water fundraiser. All proceeds will go to @limericksuicidewatch The blue edition will only ever be available as a fundraising print. This piece will return to our black and white edition after our event is complete. I hope you choose to support our worthy cause.

Grá,
