We created this guide to encourage slow and intentional shopping habits. Slow fashion can seem like a daunting process but with our holistic approach we make the journey alot easier and more fun then doing it alone. If you are curious about building a capsule wardrobe or looking for fresh style inspiration you are in the right place. We embrace the art of journaling to help you find your true style identity because only when we find our own answers can we stop the vicious cycle of consuming fashion. This is suited for both slow fashion beginners and those well on their slow fashion journey, there is always something new to learn! We breath new life into your existing pieces using creative and visual ways to rethink your unwanted clothes. Here is a closer look at the weekly lessons and what you will learn over the next 8 weeks.
Week 1: Wear your values
We dive right in and expose the ugly truth about fashion. We share stories about who is paying the true cost for cheap fashion. We explore and question where our style inspiration comes from and we start to explore the art of journaling.
Week 2: Your true style identity
We believe finding your style identity to be the most important factor when changing the relationship we have with our clothes. We get creative with visualisation techniques.
Week 3: Define your style
We dig deep this week to help you discover your true Style Identity. We explore creative ways to find the style that speaks to you and reflects your style and personality.
Week 4: Fabric 101
The ugly truth about synthetic fabric and micro fibre pollution. We talk about synthetic and natural fibres and give you a unbiased breakdown of the pros and cons of each fabric.
Week 5: The Art of Colour
This week we explore the colour world to help you to choose the perfect capsule colour palette to suit your needs. We explore Seasonal Colour Analysis so you can embrace your power colours and pattern clashing to keep things interesting.
Week 6: Building a capsule wardrobe
We explore the benefits of implementing a capsule system and share lots of inspiration to build a strong wardrobe foundation. We dip into body shape analysis and explain key shapes to wear or avoid for your body type.
Week 7: An intentional Wardrobe
We reveal how our charity shop donations are effecting people and planet. We get stuck into a wardrobe cleanse and share ways to rethink your unwanted clothes. We explain how to intentionally create a wish and sustainable tips for shopping online.
Week 8: The Journey Ahead
We believe that loved clothes last so we share creative ways to rework, alter and breathe new life of your existing clothes before buying new. We share tips how to research new brands before buying and we complete our 8-week journey by sharing our Irish Slow Fashion directory.
